| Select any one of the animals above for your writing exercise today. You should give your animal a name and decide what kind of character traits she or he possesses - what is she like? Sweet? Mischievous? Bossy? Enthusiastic? Gentle? Active? Quiet? Noisy? What does he like most to do? Where is his or her favorite place? Once you have decided on your character, then you are going to take it for an adventure. Your frog Joey, for instance, might be an independent type, and he gets tired of the small pond and wanders off into the larger world - which is all good and fine until he meets up with the neighborhood tomcat on a hot summer day and he's feeling kind of dry - and at the last minute a raggedy boy rescues him and sticks him in his pocket to take him home and...
