Large craft sticks Glitter Hot glue gun
Acrylic paints Small magnet strips Glue sticks
Use strong scissors to cut the bottom of your craft sticks to various lengths. Draw a line for where the hat will end, then a semi-circle for the bottom of the beard (you can stylize it later when your dimensions are all set). Draw an area for a belt for Santa Claus, and then a line near the bottom for when the boots/shoes will be painted in semi-circles.
You can further draw your design, or simply paint it on with acrylics. Mix white with a bit of pink, peach, yellow, or brown paint for the face. Let it dry before adding eyes, a red nose dot, and mustache. You can add highlights with a permanent marker, gold paint, and/or glitter in selected spots. Add sequins onto the belt if you wish, and glue a small piece of magnet strip roll (available at craft stores) onto the back of the craft stick when dry. These santas and kings make great fridge magnets to hang up student worksheets, and are even better as Christmas gifts or tags to packages. Alternatively you can glue on a loop of ribbon at the top and back to make a hanging ornament.
