CLOTHESPIN ORNAMENTS

Materials:
Peg-style clothespins,  Acrylic paints,  Paint brushes
Beads, Pompoms, Ribbon or cord

You can make all kinds of cute Christmas ornaments with the old-fashioned peg clothespins. For a snowman use the above photo as a guide, painting the clothespin all white, then using another color for scarf, buttons, feet, etc. Glue on a loop of ribbon or cord to hang the ornament before adding a hat or pompom on top. Use a bead glued onto a flat sequin for the snowman’s hat. The toy soldier is painted yellow with red decoration; you could try a black belt with a gold buckle. Glue on a matching small pompom for his hat. Paint arms onto the sides, or add painted dots, lines, hearts, and squiggles to the sides to make a full 3-D decoration. Write the year on the back; this one will become a family treasure.
