Use our Sample Ballots to hold your own classroom elections - or hold the elections throughout your entire school and/or grade level. Make a simple cardboard ballot box with a slot, print out these sample Presidential ballots, and have students enter a "secure" area to mark their votes, fold their ballots, and enter them into the voting box. (You can mark off your own secure voting area with a few desks or chairs, very simply designating a corner of your classroom as the voting booth.) Tally your votes and see who wins in your classroom. (Remind students that votes must be anonymous.) After voting, print out the "I Voted" buttons on sticker pages to reward your students for their participation in your own mock elections.
